3D в radeonHD - скоро

Заглянул на огонек на канал #radeonhd. На самом деле я всегда там "вишу" - читаю изредка. И вот что я там узрел сегодня:

awosy: when will the radeon hd driver add 3D support so that i can throw the fglrx driver away?

udovdh: they'll add 3d for just not my chip first
udovdh: and later on they'll have a stable driver for 3d that also does rv630
bridgman: awosy: 3d support is very close now. Matthias is just finishing up initial DRI
bridgman: support and should be merging it into the main branch over the next week or so
bridgman: we are going to be using the same drm and mesa code as radeon and 5xx work has been
bridgman: going on there for a while.
beuss: so we can expect an experimental DRI for next week ?

p.s. кроме того, Matthias Hopf завел ЖЖ. В нем он также (как и в mailing list) будет отписываться о текущем статусе разработки radeonhd.
